FESTIVAL SUCCESS AGAIN!
ONE ENTERED - TWO WON! Congratulations to Sally Powell, Dan Embleton, Bethany Yates and Tony Stoker for their heart-felt, slick and polished performances in 'He's Coming to Dinner' on Thursday night - performances that won them Third Prize in the Overall Class. Bethany Yates seen above proudly displaying the Frank Richards Trophy - another shining cup to spend a year in the Tarrystone's burgeoning 'trophy cabinet'. Congratulations also to Ann Greenwood, Joanna Yates, Lynne Smith and Sue Kidd for their exemplary production of ‘Romantic Novelist’ on Saturday night, which so impressed the Adjudicator that he awarded them the Adjudicator’s Award despite their not being entered into the competition! A splendid, unique and thoroughly well-deserved achievement. Thanks also to Colin Caunter, Denis Boothman, Gerry Clark, Viv Molyneux, Jackie Topping and Ros Joynes for their usual essential and adroit services back stage, without which these trophies would not forthcoming, however well acted the productions may be. Come to the Tarrystone AGM on Thursday the 10th May 2012 to see these trophies ‘in the flesh’, and discover what is going on in Cookham’s own dramatic society in 2012.
